    Excerpt of The Effects of Implanted Birth Control on Fertility

    This paper is an influence paper and was written due to an evidenced based practice course. Myself (Shannon O’Roak), Hanna Freeman, and Sophie Jones examined the effects of birth control on overall long-term fertility rates. We felt that this was a critically important topic since reproductive education is essential to all women of reproductive age. We found that birth control effects fertility rates short term after use, but after approximately 6 months, fertility rates return to normal.     Final Reflection

    From this team project, I gained a lot of experience with group collaboration. This is a valuable experience as a nursing student because I will be working with other nurses throughout my entire career. Working collaboratively with others is an essential skill in a hospital because you constantly need to be in communication with other health care professionals. I also learned how to better communicate in a group setting. When small conflicts arose, I was able to find a solution with my groupmates.
